In this purée, taste the aroma and flavor of freshly picked Pizzutello. It is very suitable for seasoning fresh ingredients, pasta, and also very suitable for bisque or gazpacho.

Pizzutello is a typical type of tomato in Campania and is extremely resistant even in the driest climate. Because of the perfect climate and geographical environment, Pizzutello tomatoes are delicious, with firm and fleshy flesh, and a balanced taste.

Così Com’è Pizzutello has the original flavor and perfect flavor of original tomatoes, making it ideal for fast food and long-term cooking recipes. Starting from an oval shape, it has the typical pointed apex in the Campania dialect "pizzuto", hence the name "pizzutello", and it appears bright red when fully mature. Use this purée to add rich flavor to other seasonings and dishes within minutes.

Preservation

Store in a cool, dry place.

After opening, if not entirely used, refrigerate and use within 3 days.

Così Com'è (Meaning “as they are”) tomatoes come from Fianagricola, was founded in 1986 by a small 24-farm cooperative dedicated to cultivating local produce varieties. Nine members currently manage the 740 acres of farmland, which stretches across the fertile Piana del Sele of Campania in southern Italy. The cooperative was founded with one mission: to guarantee a pure, traceable Italian product, from seed to label. All tomatoes are non-GMO and free of preservatives, pesticides, sugar, and stabilizers.

Although we like to use Così Com’è tomatoes to make fresh sauces for our pasta, like our "Fusillo Napoletano with tomato purée and ricotta", we could honestly drink them straight out of the jar! “I have a jar at my house all the time,” says Vincenzo Coppola, owner of Gusto Italiano. “they’re so sweet and fresh tasting.”
